A special series of activities for EPIC attendees: EPIC Mini-tours!
Most overseas visitors to EPIC 2010, coming from Europe, the Americas, Middle East, other parts of Asia and the Pacific Rim, don't have a chance to visit Japan regularly. And since most foreign visitors also don't speak Japanese, it can be difficult to do some of the interesting things they might want to do.
But thanks to the hard work of the Japanese members of the conference organizing committee, and with the generous participation of a group of eager students, we are pleased to offer EPIC Mini-tours, to give attendees a break from the EPIC proceedings, and a chance to do something fun, unexpected and at the same time, "EPIC-y".
Takanori san and his student volunteers have planned several small-group excursions to places like the Edo Tokyo Architecture Garden (see urban history unfold before your eyes), Gundam Café (where anime lovers can eat their favorite character rendered in bean paste, then go window-shopping in nearby Akihabara), the gigantic artificial island of Odaiba (featuring many futuristic design concepts), and an onsen-themed family amusement park! In addition, the student guides will be happy to customize an excursion to suit their group's preferences.
These visits will be limited to five participants each, so go to the special Mini-tours website right away, read all the details and sign up:

Each excursion promises to be very interesting!
